Salmo salar Transcriptome or Gene expression

The project aim at characterizing Atlantic salmon egg transcriptome and identify possible egg quality markers by comparing "good" and "poor" quality eggs. Atlantic salmon has capability of storing ovulated egg in its abdominal cavity for a long time before spawning. Thus, understanding transcriptome dynamics during post-ovulatory retention period between "good" and "poor" quality eggs was the focus of the project.
