The Ministry of Labour, Health and Social Affairs published the “Heimfinder NRW” in January 2020. As an app and as a web version, the “Heimfinder NRW” offers relatives and people in need of care the opportunity to easily and quickly find a free long-term or short-term care place in the surrounding area. In addition, every fully stationary facility and short-term care facility in North Rhine-Westphalia is recorded with a short profile consisting of address and contact details. Especially after hospital stays or sudden illnesses, family members as well as social counseling and support institutions can be significantly relieved in the search for suitable care with the Heimfinder NRW. The interface provides up-to-date information on free permanent and short-term maintenance places. In addition, the addresses of the full stationary facilities for permanent and short-term care in North Rhine-Westphalia are made available.
