R = Redondo Meadow Colony at Valles Caldera National Preserve (2013-2016) V = Visitor Center Colony at Valles Caldera National Preserve (2017-2018) This file contains GPD alarm calls in response to stuffed badger for 2013 through 2018 and 1989-1994 GPD = Nyanzol marker on pelage Eartag = right or left eartag Sex = Male or Female (Fem) Newclass of caller: 0 = No known kin of any kind in home territory 1 = distant kin only in home territory (cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, with r <=0.25) Newclass 1 also includes NON-LITTERMATE siblings from different years 2 = parents, littermate sibling in home territory, but NO OFFSPRING 3 = offspring in home territory. In most cases, the offspring are juveniles of the current year. In a few cases, the offspring are adults form earlier years. Note earlier check with Becca Phillip on 14 Feb 2019. On 05 March 2019, this file is now ready for statistics. On 22 March, this file checked TWO TIMES by JLH alone. On 29 March 2019, I change Newclass for female-101 (945V in 2028) from 4 to "No data" Female 101 had two tiny babies that emerged from the natal burrow, but they disappeared immediately after appearing aboveground. I do not know if fem-101 had other kin, hence the designation of her Newclass as "No data" These data used for Figure 8.1, 8.5, 8.6, 8.7 and 8.8 in Hoogland 2026. This file ready for longterm storage on 30 January 2025. I considered data from the same GPD in different years to be independent GPD Redondo Meadow Colony (RMC, studied in 2013 through 2016) was at Valles Caldera National Preserve (VCNP). GPD Visitor Center Colony (VCC, studied in 2017 and 2018) was also at VCNP. GPD colony at Petrified Forest National Park (PEFO) was studied from 1989 through 1995.
