Industry investment data

This research uses <b>China’s 2019 inter-city, industry-specific investment flow data</b> to map and analyze how capital links cities across different sectors. By treating each observation as an origin city–destination city–industry connection (weighted by investment amount and/or deal counts), the study constructs sectoral investment networks to identify national and regional investment hubs, compare how spatial connectivity differs by industry, and assess the strength of within– and cross–city-cluster linkages. The resulting measures (e.g., inflow/outflow intensity, net flows, and network centrality/community structure) provide an empirical basis for understanding the spatial organization of investment and industrial coupling among Chinese cities in 2019.
