Gene expression response to tempreture in Ataltic salmon

In this study, we conducted an infection trial involving salmon lice infestation while subjecting the fish to varying seawater temperatures. Our hypothesis centered on the notion that temperatures at the extremely high and low limits of Atlantic salmon tolerance would influence the mucus properties. We experimented with post-smolt Atlantic salmon weighing 50 to 60 grams to delve into this hypothesis. These salmon were reared at different temperature levels: low (5 degrees Celsius), medium (10 degrees Celsius), and high (17 degrees Celsius).
