Short Noncoding RNAs as predictive biomarkers for the development from Inflammatory Bowel Disease Unclassified to Crohn’s Disease or Ulcerative Colitis

To find predictive biomarkers for the development from inflammatory bowel disease unclassified (IBDU) to Crohn's disease(CD) or ulcerative colitis (UC), we performed short non-coding RNA profiling on IBDU patient samples at the time of diagnostic endoscopy. Mucosal tissue biopsies from IBDU patients(35) who were reclassified to CD (IBDU-CD, 12), UC (IBDU-UC, 15) or remained as IBDU (IBDU-IBDU, 8)), and 8 IBD patients were used in the study. *** NOTE FROM SUBMITTER: Raw data generated during the current study can not be made publicily available, which is in accordance with the rules concerning processing of personal data set out in the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Danish Data Protection Act.
