资源简介:
Indonesia Social and Economic Survey (Susenas 2011) is a nationwide survey conducted to collect information on social and economics indices. The 2011 Susenas collected data from 300,000 household samples, covering all provinces and all 497 districts in Indonesia. It serves as a main source of monitoring the social and economic progress in the society. Susenas was conducted on an annual basis since 1963. Since 1992, in addition to a basic social and economic questionnaire (core), an additional questionnaire was introduced which gathers more detailed information on special interest topics (module). A module is intended to gather more detailed information on specific topics, especially on data that changes less frequently than yearly. There are three modules of Susenas and each module is added in a three-year cycle. In 2011, the module's topic is household consumption. Susenas 2011 was designed and conducted differently than previous Susenas surveys. 1. Collection of consumption/expenditure modules were conducted quarterly, each was conducted in March, June, September and December of the year. Each quarter the number of sample is 75,000 household. The purpose is to increase data accuracy and to meet the demand for quarterly Gross Domestic Product (GDP)/Regional Gross Domestic Product calculation and poverty measurement. 2. Every five years, Central Board of Statistics (CBS) collected Living Cost Survey/LCS (Survey Biaya Hidup/SBH) for the purpose of producing commodity packet and weight for Consumer Price Index (CPI). Concept and definition of consumption expenditure for food and non-food as well as household characteristics in this LCS is similar to Consumption Module in Susenas. CBS decided to merge this two surveys (LCS and Consumption Module of Susenas) in 2011 in 7 piloted Districts/Cities (Medan City, Kotawaringin District, Denpasar City, Kudus District, Bulukumba District, Tual city and South Jakarta City). Questionnaire There are two sets of questionnaire in Susenas 2011. 1. Core questionnaire (form VSEN11.K) which includes questions regarding basic social and economic conditions. The information gathered from this questionnaire is often referred to as the Susenas Core. The Susenas core is conducted annually with only slight changes of questions (addition, deletion or modification) over the years. Data from this core component is representative up to the provincial level. 2. Module Questionnaire (form VSEN11.M) which comprises of detail questions regarding household consumption expenditure for food and non-food as well as household income/revenue. (Notes: In datasets held by ANU, data on income and revenue are not available). Online analysis in Nesstar can only be performed on the merged Core household and individual data files at present due to the size of the combined Core and Module Susenas 2011 data files. The Module data files can be analyised online in Nesstar, but only as individual files. The Module data files can be merged together and with the Core data files but the data must be downloaded to do this. The SUSENAS are only available for ANU staff and students. NOTE: Duplicate identifiers were found in the core household and individual data files.
