资源简介:
1. Research Background: Hemodialysis (HD) is one of the main renal replacement therapies. The selection of vascular access includes autologous arteriovenous fistula (AVF), graft fistula, central venous catheter, and arterial surfaceization. Among them, AVF is currently the preferred vascular access for hemodialysis, but it has the problem of functional impairment. AVF VC can occur in the arterial wall or the venous outflow tract of the fistula. Fistula calcification can lead to difficulty in puncture and even functional impairment of AVF, shortening its service life. In addition, vascular calcification of AVF has been proven to be an independent predictor of mortality risk for maintenance hemodialysis patients. 2. Dataset Content: This dataset contains 2 histopathological images of autologous arteriovenous fistula (AVF) vascular tissues, all from surgical resection specimens of maintenance hemodialysis patients. After fixation with 4% paraformaldehyde, embedding in paraffin, and consecutive sectioning, Von Kossa staining was performed. All specimens were approved by ethics and obtained informed consent from patients. The images have no privacy information and can be used for basic and clinical related research.
