Matrix OD2030 — Commercial and heavy vehicles

Estimated matrix of the movements of commercial and heavy vehicles of interest to the territory of Lombardy region (2030). The matrix refers to an average working day and considers 526 areas (437 areas inside the region — the result of merging municipalities and/or, for larger municipalities, parts of municipalities). 69 external to Lombardy and 20 “intermodal gates” — 8 intermodal road terminals — rail in Lombardy; 3 external intermodal terminals; 4 cargo airports; 3 seaports of the Ligurian system; 2 inland waterway ports). The data on vehicle movements are articulated with reference to categories N1, N2 and N3 as defined in Article 47 of the Highway Code: — N1: vehicles intended for the carriage of goods, having a maximum mass not exceeding 3,5 tonnes; — N2: vehicles intended for the carriage of goods, having a maximum mass exceeding 3,5 tonnes but not exceeding 12 tonnes; — N3: vehicles intended for the carriage of goods, having a maximum mass exceeding 12 tonnes.
