Welcome to Jakarta, Indonesia. Home to thousands of Indonesians and was once a beautiful city. But unfortunately on April 22, 2026 there was heavy rain that caused a widespread flood. this is a Big climate problem effecting multiple countries/cities to this day including the Marshall Islands. this city is estimated to sink by 2050. why is it vulnerable? what makes Jakarta so vulnerable is a question many people ask, and the answer isn't always the same. that's because there are multiple reasons, such as heavy rainfall and Monsoon seasons. another problem is rising sea levels. This has affected buildings, electrical systems, transportation, good health etc. This isn't the first time Jakarta has been close to sinking though. this is a continuing problem since 1621.
