This archive contains the observational data and analysis code used in the study “Observational Impacts of Extreme Rainfall on Active Layer Hydrothermal Properties in China’s Upper Heihe River Basin.” The dataset includes observations from two sites located in the permafrost zone of China’s upper Heihe River basin in the Qilian Mountains on the northeastern Tibetan Plateau: EBoA site (100.92°E, 38.00°N, elevation 3,691 m) in the Eboling area PT5 site (99.03°E, 38.81°N, elevation 3,700 m) in the Yeniugou area The data cover the summer seasons from 2016 to 2023 and include daily measurements of air temperature, rainfall, and soil temperatures at multiple depths (from 0.05 m to 0.77 m). The accompanying code is used to perform layered linear regression and compute the relative variation ratio of soil temperature under different rainfall conditions for both sites. These resources are provided to support reproducibility of the study’s results and to facilitate further research on permafrost hydrothermal processes.
