Forest and openland biotopes of biotope mapping in Saxony — biotope types of punctual biotopes

The data set contains the punctual forest and openland biotopes of the nationwide selective biotope mapping carried out by the Land Office for the Environment, Agriculture and Geology of Saxony (LfULG) and the state enterprise Sachsenforst (SBS) (2. Passage) in the Free State of Saxony. Selective means that only the particularly rare and protective biotopes have been mapped. For each biotope, the biotope type and the protection status are given next to the biotope identification number. Biotope types are field woods, orchards, wet meadows, mountain meadows, diving and floating leaf vegetation, soil-sour beech forest of the low and hill country, etc. In addition, it is indicated whether it is a biotope of forest biotope mapping (WBK), carried out by SBS, or the openland biotope mapping carried out by the LfULG. No independent biotope mapping has been carried out since 2009. The survey is carried out within the framework of coarse monitoring of the flora-fauna habitat types.
