GroMoPo Metadata for Anholt Island model

The development and application of a digital computer model of the ground water reservoir of the island of Anholt is described. The model is based on a finite difference, two-dimensional approach. It was successfully used to investigate if the ground water at a planned well field might be polluted by sewage from nearby cesspools. Although the model is an approximation of the real aquifer conditions, the authors found the model very useful and suggest that modelling techniques be more widely used in ground water resource investigations.本文详述了安霍尔特岛（Anholt）地下储水层数字化计算机模型的开发与应用。该模型采用有限差分二维数值方法构建，已成功用于评估规划井场的地下水是否会受到周边化粪池污水的污染。尽管该模型仅近似反映了真实含水层（aquifer）的水文条件，但作者认为该模型具备较高实用价值，并建议在地下水资源调研中更广泛地推广数值模拟技术的应用。
