This dataset contains vegetation composition, cover data, stable nitrogen isotope measurements, and a comprehensive suite of soil physicochemical properties collected from above-cliff tundra on Bjørnøya (Bear Island), Svalbard. The dataset supports analyses of how seabird-derived nutrient subsidies and wind-driven processes influence Arctic tundra plant communities and soil chemistry above bird colonies. Date of data collection:July 2022 Location:Bjørnøya (Bear Island), Svalbard, Arctic Norway (approx. 74°30′N, 19°00′E) Methods:Data were collected along six 450-meter transects (three above seabird colonies, three reference sites), with 1×1 m plots sampled at 50 m intervals. Vegetation composition and cover were estimated visually for all vascular plant species, mosses, and lichens. Soil samples (0–10 cm depth) were analyzed for nutrients, elements, and stable isotopes using standard laboratory procedures.
