16S rRNA Gene Sequencing of the V4 Region of Beachrock Community on Little Ambergris Cay, Turks and Caicos Islands

This study explores the processes and organisms responsible for the rapid lithification of beachrock on Little Ambergris Cay Turks and Caicos Islands. This study sets out to describe both microbial and physiochemical contributions to beachrock formation using an in situ approach in a field area where observations indicate that beachrock forms rapidly.
