Patient Use of Online Portal at an Academic Medical Center

Supplementary File 1: Demographics and characteristics associated with online patient portal (Epic MyChart) activity at an academic medical center. Data includes de-identified patient #, legal sex (as recorded in the electronic medical record, EMR), preferred language (as documented in EMR), patient self-identified race (as in EMR), age in years at time of first diagnostic test within the retrospective time period, and whether MyChart account was active during retrospective timeframe of study. There are a total of 204,605 unique patients (88,978 male, 115,627 female) with mean age at first diagnostic test of 44.3 years (standard deviation of 23.6 years). The retrospective timeframe covered February 9, 2020 to December 9, 2021.
