The goal is to investigate microbial dysbiosis in the upper respiratory mucosa of rheumatoid arthritis patients and its associations with rheumatoid arthritis-related clinical features. Nasopharyngeal swab samples of 46 rheumatoid arthritis patients and 17 controls were sequenced for microbiome profiling using the V3 and V4 region of the 16S rRNA gene.
