This dataset contains the processed data supporting the findings of the study, "From Water Limitation to Energy-Driven: A Shift in the Response Mechanism of Ecosystems in the Low-Latitude Highlands of Southwest China to Different Types of Compound Extreme Events."The data files include time series of anomalies for key variables: Gross Primary Production (GPP), root-zone available water (SM), and 2-meter air temperature (T2m). The dataset covers the low-latitude highlands of Southwest China and focuses on two distinct compound extreme events: the severe drought in winter-spring 2010 and the hot-and-dry event in late-spring 2019, compared against the 2001-2019 climatology.This dataset was specifically prepared for the Structural Equation Model (SEM) analysis presented in the associated manuscript to investigate the mechanistic shifts in ecosystem response to different hydrothermal stresses.
