Investigating the vulnerability of the Aurora Subglacial Basin in a changing climate

The contribution of the Antarctic Ice Sheet to future sea level rise is highly uncertain. This thesis examines the vulnerability of the Aurora Subglacial Basin, a region of East Antarctica that is vulnerable to future climate change. It identifies the key processes responsible for recent ice mass loss across the region, generates a refined estimate of the terrain across the seafloor, which has important implications on ocean-driven melting, and improves our understanding of how the region may evolve given future ocean warming.
