Charentais coastal communes to which the Act of 3 January 1986 applies, the objective of which is to:
— master the process of urbanisation by promoting its development in continuity with existing urbanisation, its scope being increasingly strict as we approach the shoreline;
— preserve fragile coastal spaces from any urbanisation or use that would constitute a threat.
