Esophageal gland metagenomes of Peltospira snails from the Mid-Atlantic Ridge

This dataset comprise whole genome shotgun sequencing of DNA extracted from the esophageal gland of two Peltospira snails from the Mid Atlantic Ridge - Peltospira gargantua and Peltospira smaragdina. The gland of these two species host bacterial symbionts as other species endemic to hydrothermal vent ecosystems. The dataset comprise 3 individuals per locations for each species with two locations per species: the Hydra and Falkor EMARK vent fields for P. gargantua and the TAG and Snake Pit vent fields for P. smaragdina.
