Collaborative Research in IPY: Abrupt Environmental Change in the Larsen Ice Shelf System, a Multidisciplinary Approach Cryosphere and Oceans

This is a multidisciplinary project to study the effects of ice shelf breakup in the Larsen A/B/C area of the Antarctic peninsula. One specific part of the cryosphere section of this work is to study the effects of ice shelf breakup on glacier flow. The instrument request is to look at seismic events associated with glacier calving and retreat.
