Palygorskite streak veinlets were studied in the lower part of a sediment core collected at Station VITYAZ4599 in the central (Mid-Indian) basin of the Indian Ocean. It is suggested that this palygorskite is of hydrothermal origin and was formed in pre-Pliocene time.对采自印度洋中部（中印度洋海盆）VITYAZ4599站位的沉积物岩芯下部的坡缕石（Palygorskite）细脉开展了研究。研究表明，该坡缕石为热液成因，形成于上新世之前的地质时期。
