This article investigates the necessity of developing a semantic map of colors within linguistic and interdisciplinary research. The study highlights the significance of color semantics as a complex system reflecting cognitive processes, cultural values, and language-specific patterns. The research employs semantic field analysis, a comparative-linguistic approach, and corpus-based methods to examine the structure and variation of color terms across languages. The findings reveal that color terminology demonstrates both universal tendencies and culturally determined distinctions in meaning and usage. The discussion emphasizes that constructing a systematic semantic map of colors contributes to improving translation accuracy, facilitating intercultural communication, and advancing theoretical models in cognitive and linguistic studies. The article concludes that the systematization of color semantics is essential for a deeper understanding of conceptual organization in language.
