Temporal transect of moss-associated N2 fixation rates in Anchorage, Fairbanks, and Toolik

This is a dataset coving multiple moss species (Hylocomium splendens, Ptilium crista-castrensis, Pleurozium schreberi, Sphagnum sp., others) and their associated d15N following incubation with 15N2 in June, July, and August over the course of one growing season in 2017. Three sites at each location (Anchorage, Fairbanks, and Toolik Field Station) were sampled. We measured rates of nitrogen fixation using 15N2 incubations in a common garden close to the sites of collection.本数据集涵盖多种苔藓类群，包括塔藓（Hylocomium splendens）、拟垂枝藓（Ptilium crista-castrensis）、赤茎藓（Pleurozium schreberi）、泥炭藓属（Sphagnum sp.）及其他类群，记录了其在2017年一个生长季的6、7、8月间经¹⁵N₂培养后对应的δ¹⁵N（d15N）数据。本次采样覆盖安克雷奇（Anchorage）、费尔班克斯（Fairbanks）及图利克野外站（Toolik Field Station）三个地点，每个地点设置3个采样位点。本研究依托靠近采样区域的同质园开展¹⁵N₂培养实验，以此测定苔藓的固氮速率。
