Proposed northwestern Hawaiian Islands National Marine Sanctuary : advice and recommendations on development of draft fishing regulations under the National Marine Sanctuaries Act Section 304(a)(5)

"The National Marine Sanctuary Program of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration is in the process of designating the Northwestern Hawaiian Islands Coral Reef Ecosystem Reserve as a national marine sanctuary. In accordance with Section 304(a)(5) of the National Marine Sanctuaries Act, the National Marine Sanctuary Program is providing the Western Pacific Regional Fishery Management Council the opportunity to prepare draft fishing Western Pacific Regional Fishery Management Council the opportunity to prepare draft fishing regulations consistent with the purposes and policies of the National Marine Sanctuaries Act and Goals and Objectives Statement of the proposed sanctuary.
