COGNITIVE-SEMANTIC FEATURES OF METAPHORICAL AND PHRASEOLOGICAL EMOTIONAL-EXPRESSIVE UNITS IN ENGLISH AND UZBEK LANGUAGES

This article explores the cognitive-semantic features of metaphorical and phraseological emotional-expressive units in English and Uzbek languages. The study examines how these linguistic units convey emotions, reflect cultural-specific conceptualizations, and function within different communicative contexts. Comparative analysis highlights similarities and differences in the cognitive mechanisms underlying metaphorical and phraseological expressions in the two languages. The findings contribute to a deeper understanding of cross-linguistic emotional expression and provide insights for applied linguistics, translation studies, and language teaching.
