Statistical Codes of Municipalities and Communities of Cyprus (LAU2)

The statistical codes of the municipalities are a four-digit system of code numbers. The first digit represents the administrative district (1 to 6). The names of the municipalities of Cyprus used the spelling as prepared by the Cypriot Permanent Committee for the Standardisation of Geographical Names in Greek and then transcribed into the Roman alphabet. Both codes and names are compatible with LAU2 (Local Administrative Units compatible with NUTS).
