Population data for districts in Hamburg

Statistical data on population and social structure in Hamburg districts on 31.12.2014 of the Statistics Office Nord. The population by age, as well as the foreigners, are taken from the population register as of 31.12.2014 and only include principal and sole residences. The population density in km² has the same source as the basis as well as the planned area of the country’s geoinformation and surveying operation. The population with a migrant background was determined from the population register 31.12.2014 (main residence only) by estimates using MigraPro. The household data were calculated from the population register 31.12.2014 by estimates using HHGs. The share of single parents’ households refers to all households with children. The employment rate includes employees subject to social security contributions at the place of residence of the Federal Employment Agency in December 2014 and refers to the working population aged 15 to under 65 from the population register 31.12.2014. The unemployment rate includes the unemployed according to SGB II and SGB III in December 2014 of the Federal Employment Agency and refers to the working population aged 15 to under 65 from the population register 31.12.2014.
