资源简介:
Pollen and macrofloral analyses were undertaken at site 41BS706-B in
Big Bend National Park, Texas to evaluate the prehistoric environment and
gather data concerning the prehistoric economy, the cultural context of
various features, and seasonality of occupation. The pollen samples were
taken from a stratigraphic pollen column, as well as a feature and the soil
beneath a possible metate recovered within a feature. The macrofloral
samples concentrated on sampling the features and areas which were
considered in the field most likely to yield macrofloral remains. A total
of 11 pollen and four macrofloral samples were analyzed in this study.
