Halobacterium salinarum NRC-1 ∆aglB mutant vs ∆ura3 parent genome sequence

To better understand the physiological significance of Hbt. salinarum archaellin N-glycosylation, a strain deleted of aglB, encoding the archaeal oligosaccharyltransferase, was generated. Here we sequenced the genome of this strain to ensure the absence of wild type copies in this polyploid organism and second site mutations. The ∆ura3 parent strain was also sequenced to determine the sequence polymorphisms between the parent and NRC-1 wild type reference genome.
