In this experiment, the intestinal microflora of the spotted hyena was studied by high-throughput sequencing of the 16S rRNA gene V3âV4 high mutation region. The effects of age and feeding environment on the gut microbiota of the Spotted hyena (Crocuta crocuta) were analyzed by comparison between juvenile and adulthood, and between captive individuals from zoos in coastal and inland areas.
