We constructed mycolic acid synthesis key gene pks13 mutant strain and analyzed its impacts on whole cell at gene expression level compared to the wild-type ATCC13869. Overall design: The Corynebacterium glutamicum ATCC13869 in-frame deletion pks13 mutant (renamed WG001) and wild-type ATCC13869 were analyzed by RNA-seq. All samples were cultivated in BHI medium until reaching exponential phase. Cultures were pooled for RNA extraction, library preparation and sequencing. qRT–PCR validation was performed using SYBR Green assays.
