Attached to one of the rails is a tide marker with the numbers 27 through 33 visible. A the end of the rails is a sign that reads "US.RS. Gage." A paddle boat moves about in the river (foreground). Across the river are houses situated on top of the hills. A water tower stands on top of the hill (right). Trees dot the landscape.
