The European Pollutant Release and Transfer Register (E-PRTR) is an electronic registry system for European pollutant emissions and transfers, which records pollutant emission and transfer data of major industrial facilities across Europe. This database integrates information on the environmental impacts of industrial activities, including data on hazardous substances released into air, water and soil, as well as data on the transfer and treatment of such pollutants. The system collects data in accordance with EU environmental policy instruments, and provides support for public participation in environmental decision-making.
