Personality and psychopathological disorders in resistant migraine: What is the role of endocannabinoid system and related lipids?

Dataset refers to the evaluation of Endocannabinoid (EC) system dysfunctions associated with psychopathological disorders in resistant migraine. To this end, patients diagnosed for resistant migraine received a full psychological evaluation using The Structured Clinical Interview for DSM-5 Clinician Version (SCID-5-CV) to assess mood, anxiety, and personality disorders, and a sample of peripheral blood (30ml) was taken for the evaluation of EC system. Results highlighted several associations between these psychopathological disorders and peripheral endocannabinoid system alterations. These findings provide preliminary knowledge about the existing association between psychopathological disorders and altered ES activity in resistant migraine and may have implications for the treatment of these difficult-to-treat patients.
