Long-range transport of airborne bacteria by westerly winds. aerosol metagenome

The airborne bacteria are thought to be transported by Asian dust events (natural desert dust and anthropogenic pollution. The impacts of the bacterial transport on human health and ecosystem were focused academically. In this project, the aerosols transported form Asian continent to Japan were collected at Noto Peninsula and the bacterial communities were analyzed using the metagenomic analyses by amplicon sequencing.
