DIC data of Thin-Walled Laser-Welded Butt Weld Joints of S960MC

This dataset contains full-field Digital Image Correlation (DIC) videos and extracted strain data from uniaxial tensile tests of laser-welded butt joints of S960MC ultra-high-strength steel. Two weld configurations are included: a reference joint without filler metal (LBW-Ref.) and a joint subjected to post-weld laser dressing (LBW-D). The DIC measurements were performed using a Mercury RT optical system. The dataset includes: Full-field DIC strain videos for LBW-Ref. and LBW-D configurations Extracted local engineering strain data (E1, E2) for three sub-zones: weld metal (WM), coarse-grained heat-affected zone (CGHAZ), and sub-critical heat-affected zone (SCHAZ) Applied force data recorded simultaneously during tensile testing The data were used to determine local true stress–strain curves, Hollomon hardening parameters, and Voce hardening model parameters for individual weld sub-zones.
