Reproducibility package for "A Strain-Coupled Boundary Extension of the Hodgkin-Huxley Equations: Sharp Onset and Axon-Initial-Segment Initiation"
收藏资源简介:
This deposit contains the reproducibility materials for the manuscript “A Strain-Coupled Boundary Extension of the Hodgkin-Huxley Equations: Sharp Onset and Axon-Initial-Segment Initiation.” The manuscript develops a strain-coupled extension of the classical Hodgkin-Huxley equations. The model preserves the classical ionic current structure while introducing a boundary-derived strain proxy that asymmetrically modulates forward and backward gating transition rates. The numerical implementation uses a two-compartment soma and axon-initial-segment model to investigate sharp somatic spike onset and axon-initial-segment-first initiation. The archive includes simulation code, parameter-sweep output, and generated figures. The main sweep varies the strain-coupling parameters and records onset rapidity and relative soma/AIS initiation timing. The accompanying figures reproduce the robustness plots and diagnostic voltage/strain traces discussed in the manuscript. Files included in the deposit: - README.md: description of the deposit and reproduction instructions- sweep_simulation.py: main simulation and parameter-sweep script- taketwo.py: earlier reference implementation- sweep_results.csv: numerical sweep output- sweep_robustness.pdf: main robustness figure- sweep_robustness.png: PNG version of the robustness figure- Figure_1.png: diagnostic voltage and strain plot- requirements.txt: Python package requirements- LICENSE: licence information The code is intended to support reproducibility and inspection of the numerical claims made in the manuscript. It is not a full biological validation dataset.
