This data set contains deforestation data for coastal British Columbia, disaggregated into a 1:20000 grid, and further subdivided into the different land use zones under the 2017 Great Bear Rainforest Forest Management Act. The deforestation data (produced with the Hansen GFC data set in Google Earth Engine) includes forest cover and forest cover loss in each year from 2000 to 2021, as well as spatially matched weather data and characteristics of each spatial unit.This data set is part of a master's thesis at Toulouse School of Economics.
