Study on Response and Mitigation Measures of Paeonia ostii to High Temperature Stress

A total of 94,357 high quality unigenes were obtained by transcriptome sequencing (RNA-seq) of the control and treated with 15 days of high temperature stress leaves, of which 56,527 unigenes were annotated into seven databases. On this basis, a total of 21,879 differentially expressed genes (DEGs) were identified, of which 11,564 were up-regulated and 10,315 were down-regulated. Real-time quantitative fluorescence PCR (qRT-PCR) technology was used to detect 15 randomly selected DEGs expression patterns, which verified that the accuracy and reliability of RNA-seq data. Through KEGG Pathway analysis, 237 DEGs related to high temperature stress were screened, including heat shock protein genes (HSP), oxidative stress related genes, photosynthesis related genes and ABA signal transduction related genes. The expressions of HSP, oxidative stress related genes and some genes related to ABA signal transduction were up-regulated, while those related to photosynthesis were down-regulated.
