GT Observations of Active Cool Stars: Pi1 UMa

GTpi1 UMa is a solar analog with an age of only about 300 Myrs. Its consequentactivity is intermediate between zeroage mainsequence stars and the Sun. Itis one of a few G mainsequence stars that has shown energetic Xray flares.This target is part of a study on the Sun in Time. in which we investigate thedecline of coronal activity of a solar analog with time. Important aspectsconcern the emission measure distribution, the abundance pattern that might beactivity dependent, and flare variability studies with respect to temperatures,abundances, densities, and mass motions.
