Impact of dietary microalgal oil supplementation on growth, gut microbiota, and fillet quality of juvenile rainbow trout

A 90-day feeding trial was conducted using juvenile rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss), which were fed a commercial diet either unsupplemented or supplemented with microalgae-derived oil. Two inclusion levels of the oil were tested (0.4% and 2%), each in triplicate groups. At the end of the trial, eight fish per group were sampled to analyze the composition of the resident gut microbiota.
