Accurate modeling of photovoltaic cells is essential for optimizing their performance and efficiency in solar energy systems. Estimating the parameters of solar cell models is challenging due to the nonlinear nature of current–voltage (I–V) characteristics and the complexity of multi-diode models. This study addresses these challenges by applying the Improved Chaotic Evolutionary Optimization (ICEO) algorithm in combination with the Lambert W function to extract parameters for single- and double-diode photovoltaic models from experimental I–V data.
