These data were released prior to the October 1, 2016 effective date for the USGS’s policy dictating the review, approval, and release of scientific data as referenced in USGS Survey Manual Chapter 502.8 Fundamental Science Practices: Review and Approval of Scientific Data for Release. This geospatial data set represents about 2,500 locations of boreholes, shafts, tunnels, and drifts on and around the Nevada Test Site (NTS) where rock-samples have been collected. Information from the rock-samples is summarized for each hole and includes lithologic descriptions, physical and mechanical properties, fracture characteristics, and hydraulic properties where holes were completed below the water table.
