The overarching goal of this project is to better understand the influence of pyrogenic black carbon's electron storage capacity on microbiological behaviors and metabolisms in anaerobic acetate oxidation and fermentation. This dataset of 16s amplicon sequencing of bacteria and archaea consortia indicates the shift of microbial community structure due to pyrogenic black carbon's electron accepting capacity. The combined microbial community and related biochemical pathways helps fine tune microbial function in broader environmental problems including organic compounds degradation, greenhouse gases mitigation, and biofuels generation.
