Dataset_Intellectual Property Arms Race A Case of Inter-provincial Competition from China

Some past literature supports the insignificant relationship between intellectual property rights and productivity on the basis of global data. This result seems puzzling. This study proposes that the possible reason is the result of the inter-regional intellectual property arms race. And take the panel data of 30 provinces in China from 2000 to 2017 as an example. It is discussed by integrating research methods such as theoretical model, mechanical learning and spatial Doberman model. The final results support the initial view of this study, and the results support the existence of an inter-provincial intellectual property arms race, and continue to cause national-level intellectual property rights to have an insignificant impact on the overall national productivity.
