We have discovered a candidate radio counterpart, with an unusual optical identification, to the fast radio burst FRB 131104. Theoretical models and the variability of the radio flux density of the counterpart suggest a possible radio pulsar / magnetar interpretation. We propose to test this interpretation using a deep pulsar search with the Parkes telescope. Simultaneous ATCA flux density measurements as part of the C3409 program will enable us to exclude a pulsed emission scenario in the case of a non-detection.
我们已发现快速射电暴(Fast Radio Burst, FRB)131104的候选射电对应体,其光学证认方式较为特殊。现有理论模型与该对应体的射电流量密度变化特征,均支持其可被解释为射电脉冲星(radio pulsar)/磁星(magnetar)的可能性。我们提议利用帕克斯(Parkes)望远镜开展深度脉冲星搜寻,以验证该解释的合理性。作为C3409项目组成部分开展的同步澳大利亚望远镜致密阵列(Australia Telescope Compact Array, ATCA)流量密度测量,将使我们能够在未探测到脉冲信号时,排除脉冲辐射的可能性。
