GRE Prep Pricing Dataset 2026: 17 products from 8 providers, every price source-linked
收藏资源简介:
Every published US GRE preparation price we could find, with the source URL for each number and the date it was read. 17 products from 8 providers, collected August 2026. Price range in this record: across the 12 products with a published one-time list price, the cheapest is $38, the median is $499 and the most expensive is $2,399 — a 63× spread between the cheapest and dearest way to prepare for the same exam. GRE prep pricing is unusually opaque: list prices change without notice, “sale” prices are frequently permanent, and a meaningful share of the tutoring market publishes no price at all. This dataset exists to make that market auditable. Every row carries the exact URL the price was read from and the date it was checked, so any figure here can be independently re-verified. Nothing is estimated or modelled. Quote-only providers (a finding, not a gap): Manhattan Prep publish no price for at least one product in this category. Those rows are recorded as quote-only rather than filled with an estimate. The refusal to publish is itself data about how this market is priced. Providers covered: Achievable, GregMat, Kaplan, Magoosh, Manhattan Prep, PrepScholar, Target Test Prep, The Princeton Review. Formats covered: live-online, self-paced, tutoring. Columns: provider, exam, product_name, format, price_usd, billing (one-time / monthly / hourly), includes, score_guarantee, source_url, date_checked. Prices checked 2026-08-09. Browse this data as a free interactive tool — filter by format, sort by price, and follow a one-click “verify” link to the original source page for every single row: https://smeltworks.com/testprep-pricing/gre-prep-course-prices.html Method: prices were read directly from each provider’s own public pricing page. No aggregator, reseller or affiliate page was used as a source. Figures reflect the list price visible on the date in the date_checked column and will drift over time; the source_url column exists so that drift can be measured rather than guessed at. Part of a larger dataset. This record is the GRE subset of the full US Test-Prep Pricing Dataset 2026 (80 products, 23 providers, SAT/ACT + GRE + GMAT + LSAT + MCAT), https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.21896316.
