The Federal Surveillance Plan (BÜp) is a one-year plan for the implementation of official controls agreed between the Länder to verify compliance with food, wine and tobacco legislation. The legal basis is the General Administrative Regulation Framework Surveillance (AVV Rüb) The selection of the samples to be examined and the farms to be controlled is carried out on a risk-based basis, i.e. on the basis of a risk analysis. Within the framework of the BÜp, food, cosmetics and consumer goods can be examined. The investigations may cover, for example, the following aspects: chemical parameters, microbiological parameters, the application of certain procedures or the verification of labelling elements. (see BVL Homepage) In 2022, the following was examined: 1.1, Aflatoxins in Chia seeds 1.2, Aluminium in fruit juices 1.3, Examination of eggs from so-called chicken mobiles for dioxins/PCB 1.4, Detection of soy in non-prepacked ice cream vanilla without labelling of the allergenic ingredient soy 1.5, Composition and squid content in breaded squid products/products in baked dough 2.1, Investigation of raw milk cheese from direct marketing for pathogenic agents 2.2, Microbiological status of pasteurised milk from dispensers 2.3, Microbiological Study of Ice Cubes, Crushed Ice, Splitting and Shard Ice from Ice Cube Makers from Gastronomy 3.1, Atranol, Chloratranol and HICC in cosmetic products 3.2, Formaldehyde in high cellulose fibres (cotton, linen, hemp) equipped in “non-iron” or “low-knitter” shirts/blouses 3.3, Aluminium: Transitions from food contact materials of paper, cardboard, cardboard 4.1, Review of self-control measures in artisanal establishments with production of vacuumed, ready-to-eat foods that may favour the propagation of Listeria monocytogenes
